GUITAR LESSONS IN CINCINNATI

At Cincinnati School of Music, we offer the best guitar and ukulele lessons for all ages. Guitar instruction is offered as a weekly 30, 45, or 60-minute private lesson on electric or acoustic guitar. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced lessons are available in a variety of different styles such as rock, pop, classical, R&B, Christian, and more.  We also offer music lessons in electric bass and ukulele. Whatever your goals are, our professional guitar teachers are here to help you and customize a lesson plan for you.  

Beginner Guitar Lessons

At Cincinnati School of Music, our expert guitar teachers help our students develop into the musicians they want to be. Beginner guitar students of all ages will learn how to read standard and tab notation, play melodies, chords, and improvise. All guitar students are highly encouraged to bring recordings of their favorite songs, band, or players to learn their favorite songs. Method books will likely be supplemented to ensure well-rounded musical development.

Intermediate/Advanced Guitar Lessons

Our Cincinnati School of music guitar lessons for intermediate to advanced students will focus on expanding technique, repertoire, theory, and learning to transcribe. Intermediate students are typically graduated out of using method books and starting to learn more complex pieces of music. Our guitar teachers work closely with students to develop customized lesson plans that work for them.

Adult Guitar Lessons

Our guitar teachers can help give you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take out your guitar or ukulele and play your favorite songs for family and friends. The ukulele is also a great instrument for kids and adults to learn. They are affordably priced and easier to play than a guitar, so ukulele lessons are a fun way for kids to get started before taking guitar lessons.

Ukulele, Bass, & Mandolin Lessons

At Cincinnati School of Music, all of our guitar teachers provide ukulele lessons, and many also offer additional instruments such as bass, lute, mandolin, and more! Be sure to ask us about availability if you are interested in music lessons in those instruments.
